Where your data is stored and how cross-border access is handled.
1. Hosting location
Your data is stored in the United States. Our application runs on Amazon Web Services (US West, Oregon). Our database runs on MongoDB Atlas, hosted on Google Cloud (US Central, Iowa). Both are provided through our hosting provider. Logs and backups stay in the United States. Our hosting provider has told us that it offers only the United States and Europe as hosting regions; we currently host in the United States and do not offer full EU data residency.
2. Cross-border handling
The Platform is operated from India. Invited participants may access a workspace from other countries for that engagement. AI providers may process requests in other countries; see the AI Processing Disclosure.
3. Safeguards
Transfers from the EEA, UK or Switzerland rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, as described in the Data Processing Agreement and in our hosting provider’s own agreement. We have considered the transfer to the United States, taking into account the type of data, encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and the providers’ commitments, and we will look at it again if providers or laws change.
