AI Processing Disclosure
Version 1.6 · Effective: 18 October 2026 · Version 1.0
This English version is the authoritative version. Any translation is provided for convenience only.
How assistive AI is used in the Platform, what is sent to AI providers, and what we do and do not do with it.
1. How AI is used
AI is used only when a user asks for it, for example to summarise a document, suggest a review comment, translate text, or answer a question about a contract. It is assistive: it suggests, and people decide, approve and sign. Nothing is approved, rejected or signed by AI.
2. What is sent
The Platform is designed to send only the question and the workspace content that the asking user is permitted to see. Private notes and content from the other side’s private areas are not meant to be sent. If web search is turned on for a request, a cleaned version of the question is sent to the search provider. Web search is off by default.
3. Providers
AI requests are reached through our hosting provider. The providers include Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, and others named in our hosting provider’s sub-processor register (app.emergent.sh/subprocessors), which also shows their processing locations. Optional web search uses Tavily. Providers may process requests in the United States and other countries.
4. Training and retention
We do not use your Content to train AI models. Our hosting provider has confirmed in writing that, under its data processing agreement, it does not use customer personal data to train AI models and that its AI sub-processors are contractually prohibited from doing so. Each provider’s own retention follows the hosting provider’s agreement with it; we will publish those periods here when the hosting provider supplies them.
5. Tokens and cost
AI features use tokens. The Terms and the pricing page explain how tokens work, how long they stay active and who pays when a counterparty uses AI inside a workspace.
6. Your choices
You can choose not to use AI features. Where a feature is optional, it is off until you turn it on. Ask support@kpiandsla.com if you need AI processing excluded for your organization.
